2023 JAMB: A Sexagenarian Man Chooses to Study Medicine and Surgery.

A 69-year-old man, Babatunde Fabiyi, applied medicine and surgery as one of his courses to study in the just-concluded 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, as JAMB revealed.

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Babatunde chose UNILAG as his first institution and picked Lagos State University, popularly known as LASU, as his second institution to study his dream course, Medicine and Surgery, at one of these institutions.

However, the JAMB body also disclosed that the sexagenarian picked Yaba College of Technology as his third institution to study science laboratory technology.

JAMB also noted that, “The sexagenarian, who hailed from Egbado-North, Ogun State, sat the UTME at Centre 457, Nubi Private School, Okota, Lagos State. The centre’s examination officials, in their various submissions, indicated that Mr Fabiyi was a model candidate as he not only came to the center early enough but also followed all the instructions given to him diligently.”
