This is to inform all candidates who participated in the 2022-2023 Admission Screening Exercise that the management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has officially released its primary admission list for the 2022-2023 candidates on the JAMB CAPS.
So also, all those who sat for the previous JAMB examination and participated in the admission screening exercise can follow the procedures to check their admission status on the JAMB CAPS and on the UNN admission list portal.

How to Check the UNN Admission List 2023-2024 PDF Download
To check your name on the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) admission list, follow every step outlined below.
Candidates are hereby advised to:
- Visit the UNN Admission List Checker Portal via https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/.
- Click on ‘Admission Status.”
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Click on the “Check Admission Status’ button.
Candidates will see a response if they’ve been admitted or not.

How to Check UNN Admission Status via the JAMB Portal
To check UNN admission status via the JAMB portal, candidates should adhere to the following guidelines listed below:
- Visit the JAMB CAPS at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
- Enter your email address and password in the required field to login.
- Locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status.”
- Select your exam year and enter your registration number in the required columns.
- Click on Access my CAPS.”
- Finally, click on “Check Admission Status” to check your UNN admission status.
Additional information about the UNN admission list for 2023–2024
Candidates offered provisional admission are required to adopt the following guidelines to regularize their acceptance of the offer:
- All candidates are strongly advised to urgently upload their O/Level results into the JAMB Portal using a JAMB-approved CBT center and forward evidence of upload and admission status in JAMB CAPS to the Admissions Office.
- Note that candidates’ admission cannot be processed until the proper upload of O/L results is done.
- Visit the JAMB Portal and accept your admission on CAPS by clicking “Accept Admission.” Candidates who fail to accept their admission on JAMB CAPS will not be issued a JAMB Admission Letter and will be deemed not admitted.
- Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) and log in with your JAMB registration number to generate and download a payment invoice that contains a remittance number. The invoice will enable you to make payment at any commercial bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank.
- With the payment invoice, candidates are requested to pay a thirty thousand naira (N30,000.00) acceptance fee. Ensure that the invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the bank, and obtain a confirmation slip containing your confirmation number and invoice number.
- Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) again and log in to your JAMB Registration Number, Confirmation Number, and Invoice Number, then print the admission slip and complete the Acceptance Form online.
- Proceed with other fee payments and registration as indicated on the University of Nigeria website.
- Candidates should note that this admission is provisional.
- If at any time in the future, including the final year, it is discovered that any candidate does not possess the minimum university and faculty/departmental entry requirements for the course as prescribed by the Senate of the University and published in the JAMB Brochure, the offer of admission will be withdrawn.

How to Accept Your Admission on JAMB CAPS
- Using your phone or laptop, open Google chrome.
- Go to the JAMB portal at JAMB eFacility Portal.
- Login with your details (email and password).
- Then locate and click on Check Admission Status.
- If the page only shows Welcome, do not worry. Just click on the options icon on your phone’s browser (located at the top right corner of the screen on Google Chrome) and change the view of the page from mobile view to desktop view.
- Click on Admission Status on the left panel.
- After your details have been successfully loaded, check if you have been given admission.
- If you have been given admission, you will notice that the Accept Admission and Reject Admission buttons will be active. If not, the buttons will appear faint. You can now accept or reject your admission offer under your admission profile by clicking on the corresponding button.
Detailed Steps on How to Check, Accept or Reject your UNN Direct admission
- Go to UNN Direct entry Admission checking portal via www.portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility../.
- Activate Desktop Site On Your Browser via Settings Options.
- Log in with your JAMB EMAIL and PASSWORD.
- After successfully logging in, scroll down, then locate and click the “Check Admission Status” tab or CAPS.
- Select Admission Year (2022) if required.
- Enter your 2022 JAMB Registration number in the required columns if required.
- Finally, click on “Check Admission Status” to access your admission status.
